Most plans follow the IRS list of qualified medical expenses under [Publication 502](https://www.irs.gov/publications/p502). Pub 502 covers incontinence products, wound care, OTC meds, first aid kits, diagnostic tests, glucose monitors, CPAPs, crutches, and more. Your specific plan may have extra rules (some require LMNs for dental or vision). Check with your benefits administrator before buying large items.

## Don't Lose Your FSA Funds

Most FSA balances are use-it-or-lose-it and reset on December 31. Some employers add a 2.5-month grace period; others let you roll $640 into the next year (2024 limit). HSAs roll over with no expiration. Orders leave our Texas warehouse in 1-2 business days.

## HSA vs. FSA - Quick Difference

- **FSA (Flexible Spending Account):** Employer-sponsored, pre-tax, use-it-or-lose-it by December 31. 2025 contribution limit: $3,300.
- **HSA (Health Savings Account):** Requires a high-deductible health plan. Pre-tax, rolls over every year. 2025 limits: $4,300 individual, $8,550 family.
- Both pay for qualified medical expenses with pre-tax dollars. Typical savings: 20-35% vs. paying out of pocket.
