- **Ages:** 2+ (adult-collected for children)
- **Tests per pack:** 1 or 2
- **Lab visits needed:** 0

## Choose your pack

Same test, same 15-minute read. The only thing that changes is how many tests you get.

### 1 test
One complete test: cassette, sterile nasal swab, extraction buffer tube and package insert. Sized for a single check when you need one answer.

### 2 tests
Two complete tests, each with its own cassette, swab and buffer tube. The pack to pick for serial (repeat) testing, since confirming a negative can take a second test 48 hours later.

## In the Box

Everything you need for a complete COVID test.

Every test in the pack includes:

- **Test cassette** in a sealed foil pouch
- **Sterile nasal swab** - use only the swab provided
- **Extraction buffer tube** with dropper tip
- **Package insert** with step-by-step instructions

Compact packaging makes it easy to keep tests in a medicine cabinet, travel bag, or office drawer for on-the-go testing.

## How It Works

Lab-style antigen detection at your kitchen table.

Flowflex is a lateral flow immunoassay: antibodies on the test strip detect nucleocapsid protein from SARS-CoV-2 in anterior nasal swab samples, and is intended for use within 6 days of symptom onset.

It works with or without symptoms when there is reason to suspect COVID-19, and results are read right on the cassette at 15 minutes - nothing gets mailed to a lab.

## Family Testing

Ages 2 and up, with an adult on the swab.

Anyone 14 and older can collect their own sample. For children as young as 2, an adult performs the nasal swab, and a second adult can help hold a young child's head steady.

For young children, insertion depth may be less than three-quarters of an inch. Use only the sterile swab provided, rub it in a circle 5 times against the inside wall of each nostril, and keep the package insert nearby for the full step-by-step instructions.

## How to take the Flowflex COVID test

Three simple steps - full details are in the package insert.

### 1. Swab both nostrils
Rub the swab in a circle 5 times against the inside wall of each nostril, about 15 seconds per side, half to three-quarters of an inch deep.

### 2. Mix in the buffer tube
Swirl the swab in the buffer for 30 seconds, rotate 5 times while squeezing, remove the swab, and attach the dropper tip.

### 3. Drop and wait 15 minutes
Dispense 4 drops into the sample well marked "S", then read your result at 15 minutes.

## Flowflex home test questions

### How fast does the Flowflex COVID test show results?
Results appear on the test cassette in 15 minutes. There is no lab processing and no app required - you read the lines directly.

### Can I use the Flowflex test on my child?
Yes. It is authorized for self-collected nasal swabs from individuals 14 and older, and for adult-collected swabs from children as young as 2. For young children, insertion depth may be less than three-quarters of an inch, and a second adult can help hold the child's head steady.

### Do I need to take more than one test to confirm a negative?
Per the package labeling, determining a negative result can require multiple tests. If you have symptoms, test at least twice over three days with at least 48 hours between tests. Antigen tests are more likely than lab-based molecular tests to miss an active infection, so repeat testing improves confidence. The 2-test pack is sized for exactly that repeat test. People with risk factors for severe disease should follow up with a healthcare provider.

### Does the test work if I don't have COVID symptoms?
Yes. It is intended for people with or without symptoms or other epidemiological reasons to suspect COVID-19, such as a known exposure.

### Can I swab my throat instead of my nose?
No. This test is validated for anterior nasal swabs only - do not swab your throat or ear, and use only the sterile swab provided in the kit. Swab both nostrils to collect enough sample for an accurate result.

### Is the Flowflex COVID-19 antigen home test FDA approved?
It is authorized by the FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for self-testing; it has not been FDA cleared or approved. It is authorized only for detecting proteins from SARS-CoV-2, not any other viruses or pathogens.

For in vitro diagnostic use under FDA Emergency Use Authorization only. Check the expiration date printed on your package before testing. This product is non-returnable and non-exchangeable once your order has been processed.
